Santa Fe Springs : City Creates Oil Field Panel

Share

The City Council, acting as the Redevelopment Agency, has voted to create a nine-member Oil Field Advisory Committee. The agency formally approved the committee last week after agreeing to the idea last month as part of the city’s revised policy on the oil industry in Santa Fe Springs.

The committee is to comment on proposed amendments to the oil and gas code, and other oil field operation issues. Two city officials, one representing the state Division of Oil and Gas and six representing industry will serve on the committee.
