A former Marine Corps demolition expert who responded to a broadcast plea from Cardinal John O’Connor, archbishop of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of New York, and confessed to bombing Manhattan abortion clinics was sentenced to seven years in prison. Dennis Malvasi, 37, had faced up to 30 years in jail and $750,000 in fines.
