Cannis Heads Engineers Unit

Ted C. Cannis, owner of Cannis Consulting Engineers of Redwood City, has been elected president of the California Council of Civil Engineers and Land Surveyors.

Other officers include William A. Steen of William A. Steen & Associates, La Mesa, president-elect; James S. Mitchell of Mitchell & Heryford Inc., Santa Rosa, vice president, and Timothy G. Psomas of Psomas & Associates Inc. of Santa Monica, secretary-treasurer.

The council is composed of more than 600 member firms. Its members engage in all phases of civil engineering and land surveying.
