Defensive tackle Dan Sileo, who was signed...
Defensive tackle Dan Sileo, who was signed by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers after being declared ineligible by the NCAA last week, won’t be able to play pro football until the NFL reviews his contract and determines if he must go through a supplemental draft.
Sileo, from Miami (Fla.), was declared ineligible for college play Friday night by the NCAA, which ruled his five-year eligibility ran out after the 1986 season because he was enrolled for nine credit hours at the University College, an adjunct of the University of Maryland, during the 1982-83 school year.
He was signed Sunday by the Buccaneers, who said he would be placed on the active roster.
