Glendora : Land Bought for Auto Mall
The Redevelopment Agency this week signed an agreement to buy a 28-acre site at the intersection of the Orange and Foothill freeways for a regional auto center.
The land, formerly the site of the Johnston Pump Co., and an adjoining 14-acre parcel that the agency bought several months ago will be resold to a partnership of several Glendora auto dealers.
A city spokesman said the property will accommodate eight dealerships selling 12 brands of cars. Construction is expected to begin this fall.
