Hinton in Line as the Next Ambassador to Costa Rica

WASHINGTON —
President Reagan announced Wednesday that he will nominate Deane Roesch Hinton to be ambassador to Costa Rica, succeeding Lewis Tambs. Hinton, a career foreign service officer, has been ambassador to Pakistan since 1983 and previously served in El Salvador.
