SPOILING KID VID

Share

As animation screenwriters with hundreds of scripts to our credit, as concerned parents with eight children between us, as former educators, and as former children, we extend a sincere thanks to Q5 for showing us the light.

Before Q5, we stumbled along mindlessly in the dark, writing heartfelt, warm, loving stories based merely on experience, humor, observation and creativity. We foolishly thought that we could slide by. Now Q5 has shown us how to standardize, target, demographize and synthesize our work to a nice safe pablum.

If only Oscar Wilde, A.A. Milne, L. Frank Baum, the Brothers Grimm, Lewis Carroll, Matthew, Mark, Luke and John had the benefit of Q5’s insights, the Happy Prince would have kept his (blue) eyes, Eeyore would have had a better self image, Hansel and Gretel wouldn’t have roasted a witch, the Cowardly Lion would have been more macho , Alice wouldn’t have tasted the magic mushrooms and Mary Magdalene would have been less “slutty.”

As soon as we’ve had a lunch of mayonnaise and white bread, we’ll go back to the word processor and try again.
