Brian Willson, Protester Injured by Train
I wish to express my outrage and protest the maiming of Willson by representatives of the United States government. This was a malicious attempted murder by a Navy train under orders of the Concord Naval Weapons Station, a duly constituted agency of the U.S. Navy.
This act of brutality is of a piece with the murder of Ben Linder, a U.S. citizen, by the contras, who are acknowledged to be the minions of Reagan and his government.
We must remember that our Constitution grants the right to peaceful protest, but not to be maimed or killed in so doing. It is time for us to speak out with strong words and action to stop these monstrous acts from being accepted as the American way of life.
