W. Scott Walker, 52, has been named president of the Torrance-based industrial electronics group of Hughes Aircraft Co., a subsidiary of GM Hughes Electronics. He succeeds William H. Christoffers, who is retiring this month after 32 years with the company. Walker was elected a corporate vice president earlier this year.
