Danny Walters, San Diego Chargers defensive back, and defensive lineman Earl Wilson were arrested for investigation of drug charges in separate incidents, San Diego authorities said.

Wilson, 29, was arrested Tuesday at the city’s airport a few hours after he had been cut by the Chargers. Police said Wilson was booked for investigation of providing “rock” cocaine to an undercover officer.

Walters, 26, who underwent drug rehabilitation during the 1984 season, was arrested early Monday after a traffic stop by police.

Walters was stopped for allegedly driving while intoxicated. He was searched by officers, who reported finding a tiny quantity of cocaine.

Both players started for San Diego in the Chargers’ 20-13 loss to Kansas City on Sunday.
