Chrysler Corp. and the Canadian Auto Workers union said today that they have reached a tentative contract agreement that could end a 3-day-old strike by 10,000 workers within days.

The strike at Chrysler Canada Ltd. has shut four Chrysler plants in Canada and has brought about the layoff of 2,300 Chrysler workers in the United States because it stopped the flow of vital Canadian-made parts. Union members will vote on the offer this weekend.
