Economist Assumes Post at Agriculture Department

WASHINGTON —
Ewen Wilson, a former meat industry economist, was sworn in Thursday as assistant agriculture secretary for economics by Agriculture Secretary Richard E. Lyng. Wilson succeeds Robert Thompson, who resigned to become dean of agriculture at Purdue University.
