Standard Logic Reports $530,995 Quarterly Loss

Standard Logic reported a net loss of $530,995 for its fiscal 1987 third quarter ended July 31, contrasted with net income of $20,488 a year earlier. The Anaheim-based electronics company said it lost $599,413 from continuing operations for the third quarter, contrasted with a year-earlier loss of $37,668.

The company reported a gain of $68,418 from discontinued operations, compared with a year-earlier gain of $48,706.

Sales for the quarter dipped to $306,395 from $443,804 a year ago. A delay in revenues from a major customer accounted for the decrease, the company said.

Fixed costs and one-time charges relating to a move to new facilities contributed to the third-quarter loss, the company said..

For the first nine months, Standard Logic reported a net loss of $1.09 million, contrasted with net income of $404,093 a year earlier. The company said it lost $1.1 million on continuing operations, contrasted with year-earlier income of $267,994.

Income from discontinued operations was $16,228; in 1986, the company lost $45,601 from discontinued operations.

Sales for the nine-month period totaled $792,942, contrasted with $2.2 million for the same period in 1986.
