Licio Gelli surrendered to Swiss authorities. The fugitive financier was wanted in connection with the Bologna, Italy, railway station bombing that killed 85 people in 1980 and with Italy’s biggest private bank failure. Flanked by four Swiss and Italian lawyers, Gelli entered Geneva’s Palais de Justice courthouse and gave himself up. The 68-year-old Italian was interviewed, then whisked away to a maximum security prison from which he escaped four years ago.
