Archive Corp. of Costa Mesa said it will offer its products through a retail computer store chain for the first time under an agreement with MicroAge Inc.

MicroAge, a chain of 180 franchised and company-owned stores based in Tempe, Ariz., will carry Archive’s ArchiveXL and its FasTape tape-drive products, designed to provide backup for hard drives in desk-top computers, personal computers and other mini and micro computer applications.

M. Thomas Makmann, Archive’s vice president of marketing, said revenue from the agreement has already been figured into projections of $110 million to $120 million for fiscal 1988. For fiscal 1986, Archive reported net income of $2 million on sales of $78.8 million. For the first three quarters of fiscal 1987, net income was $3.8 million on revenues of $63.7 million.
