Robertson to Announce in Bedford-Stuyvesant

NEW YORK —
Evangelist Pat Robertson will announce his candidacy for the Republican presidential nomination next week from the steps of a brownstone in a black city neighborhood, it was disclosed today.
Robertson spokeswoman Constance Snapp said the house in the Bedford-Stuyvesant section of Brooklyn was chosen for Tuesday’s announcement because Robertson lived there in 1960 when he decided to return to his Virginia home and launch his Christian Broadcasting Network.
