Lawrence W. Kellner has been appointed chief financial officer for the Koll Co., a position that has been created since the departure last year of David Middlemas as executive vice president of finance.

Kellner will be responsible for directing all corporate and partnership accounting operations for the company’s eight division offices. He also will oversee Koll’s development portfolio, valued at $2.7 billion, and the $400 million in annual construction revenue from Koll Construction.

Previously, Kellner directed the administration and operation of Ernst & Whinney’s Southern California real estate accounting and consulting practice.

The Koll Co., based in Newport Beach, specializes in development, acquisition, construction and management of commercial and industrial properties.
