One Picture Can Help Save Lives

Share

I think it is most unfortunate that you chose to run a photo of a motorcyclist without a helmet (Times, Sept. 10). While there is no law requiring that motorcyclists wear helmets, I think it behooves The Times to set an example of encouraging safe driving habits by at least picturing a rider wearing one. It’s not a question of censorship--rather a practice of responsible journalism. One picture is worth a thousand words--and who knows how many lives?
