A Shearson Lehman Bros. unit announced that it is selling its 30% stake in the Canadian securities firm McLeod Young Weir Ltd. to the Bank of Nova Scotia. The sale price was not disclosed, but Shearson Lehman Holdings Inc. said it expects to make a $46-million pretax profit on the transaction.
