A majority of the House of Representatives has signaled President Reagan that his planned $1.4-billion sale of arms to Saudi Arabia is endangered. At least 225 House members signed a letter objecting to the proposed package, which reportedly includes a dozen F-15 fighter planes and 1,600 Maverick anti-tank missiles. Leaders of the letter-writing effort said they hope soon to have the 291 signatures necessary to override a presidential veto and block the sale. Earlier this week, 64 senators signed a similar letter.
