“Extremities” author William Mastrosimone has been tapped to write the screenplay for a six-hour CBS miniseries based on the life of Frank Sinatra. A spokesman for Warner Bros. Television said Mastrosimone would base his screenplay on his own research and interviews--and not on Kitty Kelley’s unauthorized biography, published last year. The script is expected to be ready by spring and the series is expected to be telecast in the spring or fall of 1989. No word on who will play the Chairman of the Board as yet.
