‘Big Spin’ Jackpot Eludes 10 Players; Hits $3.5 Million

SACRAMENTO — The progressive “Big Spin” jackpot grew to $3.5 million Saturday as it eluded 10 Californians who took their chances at the state’s wheel of fortune.
The total of cash giveaways at the Big Spin grew to more than $250 million when Waldron Lawson, a Lancaster aerospace engineer, won $50,000.
The Big Spin began two years ago and has given 1,284 people a chance at winning millions of dollars in grand prizes, lottery officials said.
Barbara Stockwin of West Sacramento and Angel Vasquez of Los Angeles each took home $50,000 prizes. Judy Luper of Chico and Herb Hilliard of Huntington Park each won $25,000.
