Garden Grove : FBI Investigating Robbery of Bank
The FBI was investigating a robbery Monday at the First Interstate Bank on Chapman Avenue, officials said.
Details were sketchy, but according to Garden Grove Police Lt. Ken Whitman, a man gave a bank teller a note, left the bank with an undetermined amount of cash and drove off in a black Volkswagen sedan.
Whitman said no weapon was used in the 2:39 p.m. bank holdup, and no one was injured.
Police said the suspect was described as a white man, 25-29 years old, with shoulder-length blond hair, a scar on the right side of his face and a speech impediment. Witnesses told police he was wearing a green, striped shirt and beige pants.
