Sea World Expects Attendance Record
Sea World of San Diego, which drew 3.1 million visitors during all of 1986, drew 3.2 million visitors during the first nine months of 1987, according to a spokesman.
The aquatic park at Mission Bay expects 1987 attendance to hit a record 3.8 million by year’s end. The park recently completed a $25-million expansion and redevelopment program that included a new entrance, a new Shamu stadium and several new attractions.
Sea World also bolstered its advertising and marketing campaigns in 10 Western states.
