Marion Colby, 65; Singer and Actress
Milton Berle delivered the eulogy Sunday at Mt. Sinai Memorial Park for singer-actress Marion Colby, who portrayed his wife on guest episodes of “The Lucy Show.”
Miss Colby, 65, a familiar figure in nightclubs across the country more than two decades ago, died Thursday in a Los Angeles hospital after a series of lengthy illnesses, said her former publicist, Irwin Zucker.
In the 1950s Miss Colby, who replaced Janis Paige on Broadway in “Pajama Game,” was seen on television in “Broadway Open House,” the “Doodles Weaver Show” and “The Henny and Rocky Show,” which featured Henny Youngman and Rocky Graziano.
Her most recent singing performances were in Las Vegas. Survivors include a son, Robert, and a brother.
