Raytheon’s income was up by 12.9% to $114.6 million for the third quarter. Revenue was up 8.2% to $1.855 billion, the Lexington, Mass., company said. Raytheon said the improvement reflects better operating performances and lower taxes. The company noted that electronics and energy services enjoyed improved results, while its major appliances business was flat and aircraft products suffered from adverse market conditions.
