Robert Regester Jr.; Staged Productions in London, N.Y.
Robert Regester Jr., a theatrical producer whose most recent credit was “Legends,” the Mary Martin and Carol Channing star vehicle, has died at age 55.
Anna Cottle, a longtime colleague, said he died last week at a Century City hospital of complications of acquired immune deficiency syndrome.
Regester, a native of Indiana, was affiliated for several years with Woodfall Films in London and went from there to a successful producing career. His credits include “Design for Living” and “The Seagull,” both with Vanessa Redgrave in London, and “Corpse” with Keith Baxter on Broadway.
He has no immediate survivors, said Cottle, who asked that donations be made in his name to Northern Lights Alternative (an AIDS support program) at 13530 Moorpark St., Sherman Oaks, CA. 91423.
