61 on Burning Boat Saved After Dip in Chilly Atlantic

LITTLE RIVER, S.C. — An electrical short circuit in the engine room caused a chartered fishing boat to catch fire Saturday and sink, forcing the 61 people aboard to jump into the chilly Atlantic, authorities said. Everyone aboard was rescued and reported safe, said Jim Stevens, captain of the 70-foot Captain Jim.
