Separated Twins Show Improvement in Breathing

BALTIMORE —
Twins who were joined at the head until they were separated in surgery last month have shown slight improvement in their breathing and are less dependent on a mechanical breathing device, a Johns Hopkins Hospital spokesman said Tuesday. The 8-month-old boys, Patrick and Benjamin Binder, remained in critical but stable condition.
