Walt Disney Co. gave a media placement firm in Los Angeles the job of placing the bulk of its $60 million in annual broadcast advertising. Disney said that the media buying firm, Western International Media, will handle all broadcast media buying for Disney, except for network television negotiations relating to Disneyland and Walt Disney World. That network buying will continue to be handled by the advertising firm of Young & Rubicam Inc., which has had the entire $60-million Disney account. Under the new arrangement, Y&R; would handle roughly $10 million in Disney advertising, officials said.
