Rhetoric Heats Up Over Judge Bork

So Bork is forcing a vote by the entire Senate on his nomination to the Supreme Court? Good for him! I don’t know Bork, but I do know the campaign of distortion unleashed against him was an outright shame. It would certainly set a bad precedent for future nominations if this Senate panel gets away with this.

I have never seen senators stoop to such vicious tactics--outright vilification of a man. Are Sens. Kennedy and Biden, just to name two of the “antis,” so clean and pure? It smells like politics and an anti-Administration ploy. I hope many of the senators who were unsure of their commitment until the last minute will now think twice about being tarred by the same brush!
