Rhetoric Heats Up Over Judge Bork
I object strongly to Reagan calling the 53 senators who (have stated they plan to) vote against Bork as a “lynch mob.” Reagan should not forget that the senators as well as the President are the truly elected representatives of the American people. And that is what the rejection of Bork is all about: The democratic process of a democratic people enacting the wishes of the majority!
