Jerry Falwell Leaves PTL

I sat in disbelief as I watched Falwell and his board of directors resign from PTL. I am not particularly a fan of his, but he never received a fair chance to bring some dignity and respect back to the “disaster” left by Jim Bakker.

Falwell had a big mess dumped in his lap and was doing a good job in attempting to straighten it all out.

Of course, there were people not happy with his plans. But he was at least doing his best with what he was given to work with.

How can so many people, who were obviously used and taken advantage of, want back someone as greedy and self-centered as Jim Bakker to again head PTL? How could they ever again trust him (if he stole from them once, what is to say he wouldn’t again), respect him or believe in him?
