Ex-KGB Agent to Move to West
Vladimir Titov, a former KGB agent who turned dissident and spent 12 years in Soviet labor camps and psychiatric clinics for defending human rights, will emigrate to West Germany, his friends said today.
Titov, 49, who was released from a clinic earlier this month, will fly to Vienna on Tuesday before going on to Frankfurt, they said. About 180 dissidents have been released from jails and labor camps under a Kremlin amnesty this year but so far few have been freed from psychiatric clinics, according to dissident sources.
