Airport Upgrading Urged

PORT OF SPAIN, Trinidad —
The nation’s airport authority said the runway at Crown Airport in Tobago should be improved so that it can handle long-distance, wide-body airplanes. In a report issued last week, the Trinidad and Tobago Airports Authority said that improvements at the Tobago airstrip are a priority transportation need if the twin-island nation of 1.2 million people is to compete effectively for tourism revenues.
