Last Potemkin Mutiny Survivor Dies in Dublin

Ivan Beshoff--the last known survivor of the fabled 1905 mutiny on the Czarist battleship Potemkin, a harbinger to the October Revolution 12 years later--has died at the age of 104, it was announced today.

Beshoff, long a favorite character in the Dublin neighborhood where he settled after fleeing Russia and where he owned a fish and chip shop, died Sunday.
