Flu Forces Previn Out
Music director Andre Previn, stricken with the flu, will not conduct the Los Angeles Philharmonic in its current series of subscription concerts, tonight, Saturday and Sunday. The repertory, however, is unchanged.
Assistant conductor David Alan Miller will conduct Prokofiev’s Piano Concerto No. 4, with soloist Leon Fleisher, and Strauss’ “Also sprach Zarathustra.” Philharmonic new music adviser John Harbison will direct his own composition “Diotima.”
