Botswana Appeals for Aid in Drought

GABORONE, Botswana —
Government officials appealed Thursday for international emergency aid to save people and livestock in Botswana, threatened by drought for the sixth successive year.
Presidential Affairs Minister Ponatshego Kedikilwe said at a press briefing that at least $11.5 million is needed.
