After a good flight we gave our pilot a round of applause; it felt good to be back in the U.S.A. A wonderful week for my daughter and me in London. It was an experience we will always cherish. Weather was exceptional, the British gracious and helpful, the city was glorious in its history and hospitality.
Arriving at the Bradley International Terminal here, all 400 of us, we went through three passport checks with from two to four checkers at each station. I’m sure there must be some good reason for the duplication, but with jet flight fatigue it was really difficult. The worst was the baggage check--the officer unkempt, sarcastic and crude; he took away the good feeling of being home.
But the final indignity was being bitten by the fleas in that building. Still scratching.
