NRA Ads on Gun Ownership
Your display of the NRA’s full-page advertisement horrified me. No amount of money for a full-page advertisement should make you stoop to the NRA’s preying on the fears of many people, or even instilling such fears in the minds of people.
We are living in perilous times. I have had some traumatic experiences in my days; I am 74. But it is my conviction that making an armed camp out of this country would not improve the situation.
Education is needed and the strict enforcement of existing laws. The rich NRA, its moneyed members, and even The Times should use their resources in attempts to lessen the dangers rather than to put more firearms into the hands of untrained people. The very thought of additional shootings, murders and accidents is sickening!
