Delphi Information Systems in Westlake Village reported a loss of $102,000, or three cents a share, for the second quarter ended Sept. 30, compared to a loss of $156,000, or six cents a share, in the same period a year earlier. Revenue for the quarter was $4.9 million, contrasted with $4.8 million a year earlier.

For the first six months, the company lost $81,000, or two cents a share, on revenue of $10.1 million. In the same period last year, the company lost $722,000, or 27 cents a share, on revenue of $8.1 million.

Delphi develops and markets computer software for use by independent agents in the property-casualty insurance business. President Richard Janssen blamed the company’s losses on lower insurance premium prices which he said has caused insurance companies to delay software purchases.
