Henry-Michel Bouillet resigned as president and chief operating officer of Syncor, a Chatsworth-based supplier of specialty pharmaceuticals. The company said Bouillet, 50, quit to pursue other interests but remains a Syncor director and a consultant. Bouillet’s office said he was not at Syncor’s headquarters Monday to elaborate on his resignation.

Syncor’s chairman and chief executive, Monty Fu, 41, will assume Bouillet’s responsibilities. Bouillet had been president since September, 1985.

Bouillet’s resignation came two months after the French company Compagnie Oris Industrie, which owns 14% of Syncor’s stock and is Bouillet’s former employer, threatened to wage a proxy fight to increase its representation on Syncor’s nine-member board.

However, the French group said then that Bouillet, whose board seat was separate from the two now held by Compagnie Oris Industrie, was not allied with them.
