Services Planned for First Pastor of Fullerton Church
Funeral services for Dr. E. Woody Hodson, founding pastor of Temple Baptist Church of Fullerton, will be held next week in Whittier.
Hodson, 83, died Oct. 27 in Glendale, Ariz., where he had moved earlier this year.
He was born in Los Angeles and moved to Orange County more than 40 years ago. He was pastor of First Baptist Church of Fullerton until 1953, when Temple Church was founded. Hodson served there until 1960 when he became field director of the Conservative Baptist Home Mission Society.
Hodson is survived by his wife, Jewell, and three sons: Robert of Glendale, Ariz.; Donald of Milpitas, Calif.; and Richard of Fullerton.
