Dunhill Compact Classics Inc., a compact disc-only record label based in Northridge, has been acquired for an undisclosed sum by Total Capital Corp. of Denver. The new corporate entity will retain the Dunhill name by virtue of a purchase of 70% of Total Capital’s shares by Dunhill principals. Bobby Roberts, the founder of Dunhill Records in 1965, will be chairman of the new company, and Marshall Blonstein, former president of Island Records, has been named president and chief operating officer.
