Telequest Inc. reported a third quarter loss...

Telequest Inc. reported a third quarter loss totaling $450,000 on sharply lower sales of $2.8 million. Over the same quarter last year, Telequest reported a profit of $277,000 on sales of $6.8 million.

The company, a manufacturer of residential and business telephones, blamed the loss of a large supply contract with a single customer for the third quarter loss and sales drop. For continuing product lines, Telequest’s sales were up 13% for the quarter.

In the first nine months of 1987, Telequest reported a loss of $1.9 million on sales of $12.1 million. For the comparable period last year, the company had a profit of $344,000 on sales of $15.8 million.
