Medical Clinics of Tijuana

With regard to your series about the clinics in Tijuana (Part I, Oct. 22, 23), I feel compelled to pass on the following.

My stepson living in Maine was diagnosed with a brain tumor. He visited doctors in Boston who told him it was inoperable and death was inevitable.

After being informed about the Gerson Clinic he was convinced treatment there would save him. He attended the clinic for three weeks at a cost of $6,000. On Oct. 14 he left with the prognosis that he would be cured following the clinic’s curriculum. This he did faithfully, including the six coffee enemas a day and drinking calf liver juice. The liver juice also entailed the purchase of a special extractor for approximately $1,300.

He passed away Oct. 26, less than two weeks after leaving the clinic.

It appears to me that the common claim of all these clinics is that they have a cure the recognized medical profession refuses because there is not enough profit in it. It is a shame that such an idea is even credible.
