Local News in Brief : South County : Cut in Water Main Floods Freeway Lanes
The southbound side of Interstate 5, just south of San Juan Creek Road, was flooded for 15 minutes Friday morning after a construction crew nearby accidentally cut a water main, the California Highway Patrol said.
“The cars just drove through it,” said CHP dispatcher Joe David. The flooding, which occurred at 7:34 a.m., caused a short traffic tie-up, David said.
