Kolkey to Head Pacific Builders Conference

Aaron Kolkey, president of San Diego-based Cameo Development Co., has been named president of the 30th annual Pacific Coast Builders Conference, to be held May 24 to 27 at the Moscone Convention Center in San Francisco.

“Strategies ‘88: Building Tomorrow’s West” is the theme of next year’s conference. Sponsored by the California Building Industry Assn., the meeting is the oldest and largest regional builders conference and new-products exhibition in the nation.

Kolkey has been in the building industry for more than 30 years and has served on the conference committee for six. He has built more than 2,500 houses, condominiums and apartments during his career.

Manny Schatz, of San Ramon-based Grupe Development Co.-Northern California, was named the conference’s first vice president and liaison to its exhibitor advisory committee. Hugh Temple, of Santa Monica-based Hubert A. Temple Co., was named the conference’s second vice president and program chairman.
