Magazine Gives Top Honor to Bay City Condo

A San Francisco project has captured a top award in the seventh annual awards program held by Builder, the official magazine of the National Assn. of Home Builders.

Named Project of the Year, the three-unit condominium at 1055 Lombard St., was designed by Hood Miller Associates. The builder is Gottlieb Construction Inc. Both firms are based in San Francisco.

University Faculty Housing of Santa Barbara received a grand award in the production housing category. The architect was IBI Group of Newport Beach, and the builder was Goldrich & Kest of Culver City.

And in the custom housing category, the Coleman residence in Malibu received a merit award. Ron Goldman and Bob Firth were the architects, and Tom and Randi Coleman were the builders. All are from Malibu.
