Jill Clayburgh, who starred in the 1978 motion picture “An Unmarried Woman,” has the lead role in another movie about divorce, this one a comedy for CBS. In “Who Gets the Friends?” she plays a housewife whose husband (James Farentino) leaves her after 17 years of marriage. Lucie Arnaz co-stars as a friend of the couple.

What happens when you arrange for Ben Matlock (Andy Griffith) to defend a TV producer accused of murdering a network programming chief? You wind up with an excuse for a lot of guest stars, that’s what. So in NBC’s Nov. 24 episode of “Matlock,” look for appearances by NBC stars Betty White, Jason Bateman, Rhea Perlman, Corbin Bernsen, Malcolm-Jamal Warner and ALF. Granville Van Dusen portrays the accused producer.

Robert Ludlum’s novel “The Bourne Identity” is being turned into a four-hour drama for ABC, with Richard Chamberlain set to star. He’ll play a man who finds himself the target of professional assassins and doesn’t know why because he’s lost his memory. Co-starring as a woman who befriends him is Lesley-Anne Down.

With money from a recent grant by the Weingart Foundation, KCET plans to produce a new documentary in its “KCET Journal” series. It will be called “Assimilation” and will explore how Los Angeles has handled and been affected by the huge influx of Latinos over the past several decades.
